Important Notices & Policies

Difficult Dogs To Groom

I reserve the right to refuse to groom any dog for the health and safety of myself/or the dog. A muzzle may be used. Services may be discontinued if a dog presents an unsafe condition. Such conditions include but are not limited to: behaviour issues, health problems and parasites or ring worm. Please inform me prior to grooming if your dog has ever bitten or has any aggressive tendencies whatsoever. An additional charge of 30% will be applied to the groom cost if your dog is particularly problematic or difficult to groom or has aggressive tendencies.

Matting

Upon arrival in the salon, I will assess your dog's coat and discuss the matting with you. When a dog is presented to me in a severely matted condition, it is my policy to shave the whole coat using electric clippers with a close blade. Please be assured that this decision is made with careful consideration to the welfare of your animal. Shaving the coat is quicker and kinder to your dog. An additional fee will be added to your standard grooming fee due to the extra time it takes to carefully shave the matting without harm to your dog. The fee will vary and is subject to the amount of time it takes and the size of your dog. Usually a $1.25 per minute shaving fee will be added to the standard grooming fee. There is a risk that your dog may suffer from clipper rash which is an irritation to the skin. I will not be liable for any costs should veterinary care be sought post groom. In the event that de-matting is possible and you agreed to it, the booked appointment will be changed to a 105 minute de-matting session at a cost of $125-$175. If you decide against either the de-matting or shaving, the session will be cancelled and you will still be liable for a 100% late cancellation fee.

Fleas

PLEASE CHECK YOUR DOG FOR FLEAS BEFORE you bring it in for the grooming session. If fleas are found on your dog, you will be notified and an additional fee of $50 will be applied to your bill to cover the cost of my flea treatment(time and products used) to fumigate the salon and prevent infestation. There is also an additional $30 charge for the flea shampoo used on your dog as well as $25 for the towel you take your dog home in. In total an additional $105 will be added to the original cost of the grooming to cover the added cost. 

Late Pick Up

On completion of your dogs groom, I will send you a text to advise that your dog is now finished and ready for collection. It is expected that you will come straight away to collect them please. Unless prior arrangements have been made, a $2 per minute surcharge will be applied to collections taking longer than 15 minutes after being notified your dog is ready

Booking Cancellation (Within 48hours of appointment)

Please note that I operate under a cancellation policy to ensure fair treatment for both parties involved. If you need to cancel your grooming appointment, I kindly ask for at least 48 hours' notice prior to the scheduled appointment time. Should you cancel your booking less than 48 hours before the scheduled appointment, please be aware that I reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of the original booked grooming fee. If you are more than 30minutes late for your scheduled appointment time, your grooming appointment will be cancelled automatically and you will still be charged full price for the booked appointment time. The appointment can not proceed after being 30 mintues late as it would interfere with the next scheduled appointment's time This fee compensates for the time and resources allocated for your appointment, which could have been utilized for other paying clients. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated, as this policy enables me to maintain the quality of service for all clients. Thank you for your cooperation and continued support.

I collect personal information from you, including information about your dog: name, contact information, dogs name, breed, date of birth, vet practice. I collect your personal information in order to contact you in the event of a cancellation, change of booking or an emergency, also to occasionally send you emails about special offers, new services or other information you may be interested in. Your personal information is stored securely and will not be shared with any third party. You have the right to ask for a copy of any personal information I hold about you, and to ask for it to be corrected if you think it is wrong.
