At Fuzz to Fab, we believe professional dog grooming is where aesthetics and coat health come together. We create fabulous grooms that leave dogs looking and feeling their best, while taking a specialist approach to canine coat care by understanding the science, structure, and individuality of every dog's coat. In addition to our professional grooming services, we offer one-on-one Coat-Care Sessions, Home Coat-Care Packages, premium Smith & Burton products, and practical owner education to help owners confidently maintain healthier, more comfortable coats between appointments and support lifelong coat health and wellbeing.

Due to our intentionally limited appointment schedule and personalised approach to care, we have limited spaces available for clients wishing to place their dogs on a regular 4–8 week grooming programme. Please email us to enquire about availability.

Questions About Home Coat-Care Or Coat Assessments?

We're passionate about helping owners better understand their dog's individual coat and how to care for it between appointments.

Fair Pricing Based On Your Dog's Weight

Every dog is different. We calculate pricing using your dog's actual weight on the day of their appointment rather than breed averages or previous records. This allows us to price each groom fairly and accurately according to the work involved.

Dogs of the same breed can vary significantly in size, coat density, and grooming requirements, which is why we don't believe one price fits all.

Not sure what your dog weighs? No problem—we'll weigh them during check-in.

Working Together For Your Dog's Welfare

Our salon policies have been thoughtfully developed to support your dog's health, comfort and safety while helping us provide Specialist Grooming and Coat-Care with a Higher Standard of Care. Please take a few moments to familiarise yourself with them before your appointment.

Safety And Behaviour Policy

At Fuzz to Fab, we are committed to providing Specialist Grooming and Coat-Care with a Higher Standard of Care. The safety and wellbeing of every dog, and the safety of your groomer, will always take priority. In some situations, a grooming service may need to be paused, modified, postponed, or discontinued if it is not safe or appropriate to continue. Please let us know before your appointment if your dog: • Has a history of biting or aggressive behaviour • Experiences severe anxiety or requires special handling • Has any known health concerns, injuries, mobility issues, or medical conditions that may affect the grooming process • Has been diagnosed with, or is suspected of having, parasites, ringworm, or any contagious condition For the health and safety of all dogs and people attending the salon, Fuzz to Fab reserves the right to refuse, postpone, or discontinue a grooming service where a dog presents with an unsafe condition, a contagious illness, parasites, suspected ringworm, or any medical issue that may compromise the dog's wellbeing or the safety of others. Some dogs may require additional time due to behavioural considerations, anxiety, age, health conditions, coat condition, frequent rest breaks, or the need for extra handling and reassurance. Where a groom extends beyond the standard appointment time, any additional time required will be charged on a pro-rata basis using the applicable per-minute rate for your dog's booked service. Additional charges will always reflect the actual time spent providing the additional care and handling required. Where practical, we will advise you if additional grooming time is likely to be required before proceeding.

Coat Matting Policy

At Fuzz to Fab, your dog's comfort, health and welfare always come first. Upon arrival, your dog's coat will be professionally assessed and the condition of any matting will be discussed with you. In cases of severe matting, clipping the coat short is often the safest, kindest and most humane option for your dog's comfort and wellbeing. Removing severe matting is usually quicker, causes less discomfort, and significantly reduces the risk of injury that may occur when attempting to brush or separate tightly matted areas. Additional charges may apply where extra time is required to safely remove severe matting. Any additional time required beyond the standard appointment will be charged on a pro-rata basis using the applicable per-minute rate for your dog's booked service. Severely matted coats can conceal skin irritation, sores, wounds, parasites and other underlying skin conditions. There is also a risk that your dog may experience clipper rash or skin irritation following the removal of severe matting. While every care will be taken, these conditions can occur despite gentle handling and are recognised risks associated with the removal of severe matting. Should veterinary advice or treatment be required following the removal of severe matting, any associated costs remain the responsibility of the owner. In some circumstances, de-matting may be considered if it can be performed safely, humanely and without causing unnecessary discomfort to your dog. Where de-matting is appropriate and agreed to by the owner, the appointment will be converted to a dedicated 105-minute de-matting session. De-matting sessions are charged between $135 and $200, depending on the condition of the coat, the severity of the matting, and the work required. No de-matting session will exceed 105 minutes on any given day. If it is not possible to safely complete the de-matting within the allocated appointment time, a further appointment will be required to continue the de-matting process. This approach is taken in the interests of your dog's welfare, as prolonged grooming sessions can become physically and emotionally tiring and may cause unnecessary stress or discomfort. If the recommended options of de-matting or clipping the coat short are declined after the appointment has commenced and the appointment time has been reserved, the session will be cancelled and a 100% late cancellation fee will apply.

Flea And Parasite Policy

At Fuzz to Fab, we ask that you please check your dog for signs of fleas prior to your appointment. If fleas are discovered during your dog's groom, you will be notified immediately. Fleas can quickly spread within a grooming environment and require immediate treatment and additional sanitation measures to protect other dogs attending the salon. Where fleas are found, the following additional charges will apply: Salon Sanitation & Decontamination Fee – $90 This fee covers the additional time, products and sanitation measures required to thoroughly clean and decontaminate the salon and prevent infestation. This includes $55 for the products and sanitation processes required and $35 for the additional time involved in carrying out these measures. Flea Treatment Shampoo – $35 To appropriately treat your dog during the grooming session. Replacement Towel Fee – $30 To minimise the risk of reinfestation, dogs treated for fleas will be sent home in a fresh towel, which then becomes the property of the owner. Total Additional Charge – $155 These measures are necessary to protect your dog, other dogs attending the salon, and to maintain the high standards of hygiene and care expected at Fuzz to Fab.

Late Pick-Up Policy

At the completion of your dog's groom, you will receive a text message advising that your dog is ready for collection. We kindly ask that you collect your dog as soon as possible after receiving this notification. The time between appointments is intentionally scheduled and is used to sanitise grooming equipment and work areas, prepare the salon for the next guest, and allow time for necessary comfort breaks, administrative tasks and lunch breaks. These periods are essential to maintaining the high standards of care, hygiene and organisation that we strive to provide at Fuzz to Fab. We understand that unexpected delays and genuine emergencies can occasionally occur. If you are running late, please contact the salon as soon as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be made. However, when clients do not respond to collection messages or arrive significantly later than expected without prior communication, it can disrupt the remainder of the day's schedule and may affect the appointment times of other dogs booked throughout the day. Unless prior arrangements have been made with the salon, a grace period of 20 minutes from the time of notification will be allowed. If your dog has not been collected within this time, a late collection surcharge of $2 per minute will apply until collection. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a calm, hygienic and well-organised environment for every dog attending Fuzz to Fab.

Late Arrival Policy

At Fuzz to Fab, grooming appointments are carefully scheduled throughout the day to ensure every dog receives the time, attention and care they deserve. Many of our clients are maintained on carefully planned recurring grooming schedules every 4 to 8 weeks to support their dog's ongoing coat health and wellbeing. These appointments are often booked well in advance and cannot simply be rearranged at short notice. Arriving significantly late can affect not only your appointment but also the appointments of other dogs scheduled throughout the day. We understand that genuine emergencies and unexpected delays can occasionally occur. If you are running late, please contact the salon as soon as possible. If you arrive more than 30 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, your appointment will be cancelled automatically and a fee equivalent to 100% of the original booked grooming fee will apply. Unfortunately, appointments cannot proceed after being more than 30 minutes late, as doing so would interfere with the remainder of the day's schedule and may affect the appointments of other dogs booked throughout the day. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a calm, organised and professional environment for every dog attending Fuzz to Fab.

Cancellation Policy

At Fuzz to Fab, every appointment time is reserved exclusively for your dog. Appointment times are limited and cannot usually be filled at short notice. To ensure fairness and maintain appointment availability for all clients, a minimum of 72 hours' notice is required if you need to cancel your appointment. Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled appointment time will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 100% of the original booked grooming fee. Late cancellations and missed appointments prevent these reserved appointment times from being offered to other clients who may have been waiting for availability. Many of our clients are maintained on carefully planned recurring grooming schedules every 4 to 8 weeks to support their dog's ongoing coat health and wellbeing. These appointments are often booked well in advance and cannot simply be rearranged at short notice. By providing adequate notice of cancellation, you help us manage our appointment schedule fairly and maintain continuity of care for all dogs attending Fuzz to Fab. We understand that genuine emergencies and unexpected situations can occasionally occur. If you need to cancel your appointment, please contact the salon as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a calm, organised and professional environment for every dog attending Fuzz to Fab.
